spiral

Inspired by infinity. Made from a bolt of vintage kimono silk. I was reluctant to cut the material, and instead shaped it through thousands of hand stitches, carefully ruched into a spiral. Ever inward, ever outward. A thin bias band of 1920’s bridal silk insets the kimono bolt; hidden at it’s breaks are openings large enough for folded notes or small mementoes.
