A circle of white silk moire sits in a yoke of chartreuse silk satin. A partial overlay of silk organza leaves only a narrow perimeter of the satin uncovered.

The outer edge is vintage Suminagashi kimono silk. Here, there are openings to bury notes, or locks of hair, stones or flowers to be captured in the layers.

This circle is mirrored on the opposite side, in a red, fleshy bloom of antique silkscreened silk taffeta.
